No, Singapore does not offer a visa-on-arrival facility for Indians. Therefore, planning and applying in advance is crucial to ensure you have all the required documentation ready for your trip.

What is the difference between the validity period of my Singapore visa and the length of stay?

The validity of a visa refers to the timeframe within which you can enter a country. In contrast, the stay period is the maximum number of days you are allowed to stay in the country once you enter.

Let us understand it with this example:

Suppose you receive a single-entry Singapore visa with a validity period from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, and a stay period of 30 days. This means you can enter Singapore anytime between January 1 and June 30, 2024. However, once you enter, you can only stay for up to 30 days at a time.

It also means that if you choose to enter Singapore on June 29, 2024, you can still stay for 30 days from that date. You only need to ensure that, once you enter, you stay within the duration of stay allowed (here, 30 days).

Do Indians need a transit visa for Singapore?

Indians may be eligible for the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF) when transiting to or from any third country via Singapore, provided they meet the eligibility criteria outlined by Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). You can check further details on the ICA website.

Your issued e-visa may still be valid, depending on the validity period of your Singapore visa. You can check the validity period on the e-visa where it says “visa valid till.”

If your new travel dates fall before the “visa valid till” date, you can visit Singapore using this visa. However, if the new travel dates are outside the validity period, you will need to apply for a new visa.
